2018 High School Lenten Project

Last fall, Holy Spirit had a pleasant visit from Father Alex Ansu Ebo the Headmaster of St. James Seminary School in Ghana Africa. As Tuscaloosa is a Sister City to Ghana, we agreed to join our Lenten Project efforts to help Fr. Alex build the technology, and support the education of his students in the boarding school he runs. The school educates young men to be priests and functioning citizens of their country and the world. They have been associated with St. Mary's College in Dublin, Ireland for about 13 years. Their bio is available in the Campus Ministry Office if you would like to read it. Tuscaloosa is a Sister City to Ghana, and through the Sister Cities program, we are hoping that we will be able to help Fr. Alex and his students even more. Last year for this project we were able to raise over $2,000 for Fr. Alex and his students. We had the joy of welcoming officials from Ghana last September 2017 to present them with the check and to hear about how the money would be used.
